For the past week I've been unable to update Spybot due to checksum errors. I've tried all the mirror sites with no luck. I've even uninstalled, rebooted, re-installed, rebooted, with no luck. Any idea when the folks who put out this product will have it fixed? I've allways liked it but as it is now, it's pretty useless.

Strange, Yesterday I uninstalled Spybot, downloaded current version of Spybot from MG, http://www.majorgeeks.com/download2471.html
    and re-installed it.

Today I downloaded and installed all updates, except the Main Skin (for colour blind people). All has gone without problems, for me. Bazza

Just out of curiousity, what version are you folks using.
Current version (I have) on MG is 1.4, not 1.4 rc. Bazza

I have found that SaferNetworking 1 delivers when the other DL sites choke.

I've often found that waiting a day or two after the updated detections have been made available means far less liklihood of the dreaded "Bad Checksum" error. ;)

Well, finally success. It took a little over a week to do it. I guess you have to hit it a just the right time. Thanks all.

I found if I do the updates one at a time, they will download. 'Course, I do have better things to do....

RC stands for Release Candidate, it's pretty self explanatory, but it's basically a final stage of testing.

I know. I assume v1.4 supersedes 1.4rc. Is that correct? Bazza

    Yes, that's my understanding.

If you get that checksum error message just pick a different server from drop down menu and redownload the files. The reason is for that because so much people are currently downloading the updates from the certain server and it produces that error.
