Spybot

I saw several spybot downloads on major geeks. Which one should be installed. BTW I ran spybot from another site but when it stopped, it said the file was corrupted, it appeared to be a beta download.

I have ad-aware but I cannot get current updates and several times I could not run a scan. I'm running vista if it makes a difference.

The two best sources for the programs we recommend are How to Protect Yourself from Malware and of course, READ & RUN ME FIRST You'll find the link for the current version of Spybot S&D in there. You'll see that those which are compatible with Vista often have (Vista) after them. We don't make as much use of Adaware as we did in the past, because it hasn't kept up and misses quite a few things.
