    I downloaded SpyFerret from OnLinePCFix on 9/2/05 and immediately installed and ran it. It dedected several instances of CWS, Bonzi-Buddy and a couple of others (none of which were found by AdAware and Spybot). It then informed me that I must reboot to remove some of the objects. Upon rebooting I received the following message:

    The following file is missing or corrupted: C:\WINDOWS\IFSHLP.SYS
    WINIT.EXE: Missing/unable to load.
    Press any key to continnue...

    When I press a key, the following message is displayed:

    The following file is missing or corrupted:
    C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM\VMM32.VXD
    Type the name of the windows loader;
    C:\

    I tried to boot in safe mode and received the same messages.

    The PC was working just fine before SpyFerret. OnLinePCFix does not respond to my requests for help. I am running Windows ME.

    What do you suggest.

    Reinstall Windows ME right over the top of your current installation.

    [ADDITIONAL INFO]

    SpyFerret is on the list of rouge spyware applications. You will want to uninstall SpyFerrent once you are booted back into ME.
