SpySheriff - Flashing Wallpaper

    I picked up a spyware virus from SpySheriff. My anti-spyware programs caught and removed the virus, however, I was stuck with flashing wallpaper. After spending a few hours trying to fix the problem, I discovered a simple fix:

    Go to Control Panel/Display/Desktop/Web

    Then uncheck and delete "Security" in the "Web Pages" box.

    I hope this helps somebody.......

    Ok, thanks for your reply. The smitfiles.txt is listed below.
    I ran Panda, but, could not figure out how to get a copy of the log file. In any case, Panda did detect "winhound" and removed it. I rebooted and ran Panda again; no viruses or threats were detected. I was surprised that Panda caught some viruses that were not caught by Norton, Spysweeper, Adaware, or Spybot.
