spyware and virus?

    Hi this is my first time posting, and i have a problem with i think... both spyware and virus/trojan.

    I used ad aware and spybot to remove those spyware, but they keep re-appearing.

    My mcafee virus scanner would catch something and would notify me that theres something in my computer called adware-linkmaker or something like that and everytime i remove it, it comes back up.

    I used another program called xcleaner and it caught something called yayxx.dll, and when i try to remove it, it would say that the file is protected so i cant remove it.

    please help.

    Oh and i keep gettin popups saying that i need to install winantivirus pro. It would pop up every couple minutes.

    Please do follow our standard cleaning procedures which are necessary for us to provide you support. Also there are steps included for installing, running, and posting HijackThis logs as attachments.

    - Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

    Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.


    After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis and attach a log:

    When you return to make your next post, make sure you attach the following logs and that you have run these scans in the following order too (these scans are covered in steps 6 & 7 of the READ & RUN ME sticky)
    • Bitdefender
    • Panda Scan
    • HijackThis
