Spyware Blaster question

    I started playing with this program today so I could decide whether to add it to my personal arsenal and my "toolbox" jumpdrive, and it seems farily easy to use, but how do you tell that it is running/working? There is no system tray icon and i don't see a process running either. How does this work?

    That is one of the nice things about SpywareBlaster, it does not need to run, it does not take up memory, when you activate the protection, it puts kill bits into IE and Firefox to stop the installation of the spyware and problems from the web sites listed. The only time you need to open it is from time to time to get updates and activate them.

    As mentioned doesnt run in the background, the only time you need to run the app is to manually update, say once a week for the new additions to the blocked website lists.

    What it actually does it to add the known malware sites to your Allow/Blocked URL lists in your browser, you can see the list of sites its added if you goto for example in IE, Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > Sites and under Managed Sites you will see the blocked sites Spywareblaster has added.


    TBH, I would not be without this app on any PC I have and advise friends and collegues that this is a must have app :)

    Halo, thanks for this great info. I was amazed at the LONG list of blocked sites on there. I've been told by many "pros" that Spyware Blaster is a must. Now I really believe it.
