Spyware Doctor - error messages with new install

After getting some malware last week, I purchased Spyware Doctor with Anti-virus to try to fix the problem. (I had been running free Panda Cloud, which didn't detect the virus) I have not been able to get Spyware Doctor to load after installation, although after finding Major Geeks, I was able to eliminate my malware using instructions on the Malware Removal Forum.

I've been talking and emailing with PC Tools tech people to resolve the issue but am not getting anywhere. Bottom line is, it looks like it's an issue with running Spyware Doctor on Windows 7 64 bit. I discovered this while doing my continuing search for a solution. It is addressed on their website forums as a known issue with my exact error messages when trying to open the program. Suggestions are made in the forums for solutions, but I have not found any threads that say anyone solved the problem and got it to run once they have the error messages that pop up for me.

I have attached the error messages that I get. I have unintalled and reinstalled the program numerous times. I started the computer in SAFE MODE and I'm able to open the program. The tech people act like they have not seen this before, but it is apparent from their own website forum that the problem has been known, dating back to 2009 with the introduction of Windows 7 64 bit.

Any help or redirecting me to another forum will be appreciated.

    Hi

I still just wonder if soem malware could be on your system still, even though the guide here many have fixed the majority of the malwares on your PC, some still do lurk, so it would be a wise thing to run the guide again then start a new thread in the malware forum area and attach the logs so that one of our malware experts can review them and issue you a thumbs up to no malware or steps to remove the remaining.

Reason for running the guide is some malwares can hinder the install and/or running of security apps.

But what you could also try is uninstall Spyware Doctor and then run CCleaner to clean up your temps and the registry (run the registry one untill nothing lists), then this time install Spyware Doctor with right clicking the installer and choosing Run as Administrator and once installed, right click the shortcut and do the same Run as Administrator and see if that helps.

What other Security software do you have on your PC as multiple applications can cause issues in other apps, so disable them all (If Spybot S&D then uninstall).

Thanks for the input, David. I'll try running everything again and post on the Malware Forum. You could be right about something being there. I noticed a week or so ago that I couldn't open Panda Cloud program. I would double-click the icon, the hour glass would show for about 2 seconds, then nothing. I didn't think much about it since it showed the I was being protected.

I am not running any other security software at this time. I'm limiting my use of my laptop until I get something installed. I uninstalled Panda Cloud before installing Spyware Doctor the first time.
