   I have a virus but I do not know which one. Mcafee does not start so I do not know what virus I have. Then I cannot disable/turnoff system restore. I am not able to install programs. I canot go to Internet (Exporer does not work) How do i know what type of virus I have and how do I disable/turnoff system restore?. Help
   
   Laptop
   McAfee VirusScan Plus 2008 v2.0.155
   I run Window XP pack 2
   Hijackthis.log

   The first thing you should try is using system restore to get you back to before this started.
   
   If that doesn't work, you will need to download the following tools to a thumb drive or cd and copy them to the infected machine.
   
   Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.
