Not to long ago I downloaded a trial automotive software program from this site http://tabsautobiz.com/. Many of my friends use there software and like it. Me being the computer geek normally run a MB quick scan-which did not find anything. Today I decided to run a full scan and it detected spyware.passwords on my computer. Is this something I should remove? This is a major automotive software producer and I was surprised to find this. Thanks in advance.

It could indeed be a false positive.

Run the files through VirusTotal for a second opinion.

Go to virustotal and upload the following files for analysis, and let me know the results.
    • c:\program files\tabs autobiz\autobizsettings.exe
    • c:\program files\tabs autobiz\tabsbackup.exe

I believe you are correct, false positive. I uploaded those files as you requested and they both checked good. Thanks for the help.
