Hi. I found this place while on google trying to find a way to solve my problem.

To be honest, I am not very computer literate, so i will try to explain my problem the best I can.

My problem: There is a red "X" on the bottom right of my screen. When I put my mouse on the X, there is a message that says "Windows has detected spyware infection! Click here to protect your computer from spyware". There was a XP Antispyware 2009 installed on my computer. I believe I deleted it, but I still have that message that my computer is infected. Also, my homepage has changed.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

    thanks
