Spyware problem

I recently got a virus on my computer, presumably spyware, as I'm getting the little bogus message

Your computer is infected!

Windows has detected a spyware infection etc., etc.

Spybot will not update either

EDIT: Un-requested Inling log removed

While we take virus and spyware issues seriously please do follow the 1st steps below as they give the specialists here at MGs a starting point from where to aide you in removing the nasties that are infecting your PC,

- Run ALL the steps in this Sticky thread READ & RUN ME FIRST Before Asking for Support

Make sure you check version numbers and get all updates.

- Very Important: Make sure you tell us the results from running the tutorial...was anything found? Were you unable to complete any of the scans?...Were you unable to download any of the tools?...Did you do the on-line scans as suggested? etc.

After doing ALL of the above you still have a problem make sure you have booted to normal mode and run the steps in the below link to properly use HijackThis:

Not to worry, I have fixed the problem. I downloaded AVG Free and got it to go
