Spyware Problems..assistance appreciate!

Still having some problems with Coolweb hijacking my start pages... (I'm using netscape as my browser because everytime I try to use my Internet Explorer 5-for earthlink startpage- I get " The Page Cannot Be Displayed" message.)
I went through the steps that Major attitude (Read me first before asking)
Ran all the programs in safe mode: ie. Ad-Aware,Ccleaner..seemed okay...still can't log onto internet explorer however no problems using netscape...so
Tried some other stuff:

McAfee Viruscan showed C:\Restore\Archive\FS34.Cab lolaweb

and tried spyhunter which showed 3 files :

1.System Soap Pro autocomp.exe see\program files\weberaser..

2.WinActive c:\program files\earthlink 5.0\..
ie homepage and toolbar hijacker. A derivative of lop.com\C2

3.WinActive c:\windows\application data..
ie homepage and toolbar hijacker. A derivative of lop.com\C2

any suggestions? will post hijack this if requested. thx!

Sounds like your system is way out of date with your updates if you are running IE5. Also what OS are you running?

SpyHunter is not a very good program and should not be used.

If you have run ALL of the READ ME FIRST, then do the below.

Make sure you have HijackThis 1.99 and follow the guidelines on where to install it and how to post a log as an attachment. This is all covered in the sticky thread NO HIJACK THIS LOG FILES BEFORE READING THIS: HJT Tutorial & LOG File Posting

Now post a HijackThis log as an attachment to your message (Do not post the log inline). All running programs should be closed, including your web browser, e-mail. Close before running Hijack This!

To repeat: Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file. Place it in its own folder, for example C:\Program Files\HJT
