Spyware protection for New computer

Hi ya'll,
New computer coming tomorrow I want to know if I should uninstall and remove the included anti virus, firewall, ect and install all the spyware fighting stuff from the Protect from Malware thread and if you recommend I do that can I copy it to a jump drive so I can be protected before I connect to the DSL I would just rather use what I am used to plus if I need to come here for problems I am already set up. If you tell me to keep Norton or Mcafee whatever comes with the new computer what else do I need to keep if not all SPYBOT S&D, Spyware Guard Spyware Blaster ect.

The stuff coming with the new computer is probably only a trial. Maybe 30 or 90 days. You could give it a try and see how you like it, but before it runs out of the trial period decide if you are going to buy it. Then you could make your decision about switch to the tools here.

Yes you could have all the items from here already on a jumpdrive or CD and install while disconnected from the net. As I said in your other thread, you really should consider buying the pro version of ZoneAlarm if you are going to eventually remove the items that come with the PC.
