    Hi Guys,

I've just restored my system from infection by the Spyware Quake bug, and I wanted to thank some of the guys on the forum for pointing me in the right direction.

I spent the last few days going through the Special Removal Procedure for Quake, and every other scan in the 'Read and Run Me First' post, but without any luck.

Then I read a post by ava a couple of pages back who posted about a new name for the offending .dll. The problem I had after following the removal procedure was a residual icon in the notification tray flashing Access Denied icons over and over. Very cheeky.

The procedure recommended deleting a file named 'stickrep.dll' which I couldn't find, but I could find the file ava had discovered called 'suprox.dll'. I had to rename this file to 'suprox.dll.bad' so that it would not load when I rebooted, otherwise when I tried to delete it I found the system would not let me because the file was in use.

Anyway, I thought you might be interested if you were having trouble with the Quake infection.

    Thanks ava.

    MinorSplit.

suprox.dll was added to the procedure a day or two ago.

And today I also added a third one - xenadot.dll.

Thanks for giving us the feedback.
