Has anyone seen these things in shops? I'm very, very skeptical. The box has no markings as to who makes the software or what it even looks like (no screenshots, nothing).

I'm almost tempted to buy it and run it on a VM to see what it does/is.

Looks like a scam to me. But im guessing by your post you have already asssumed that.

What did the box have on it? A web adress possibly?

On the box does it say 'cosmo' spy killer?

Not that I could see. The box was very, very generic. Had nothing much at all on it other than some blurb about how evil hackers are taking over your mind and how you NEED this software right now.

I could investigate further at another point. But I'm surprised that Staples offer it at all, to be honest. Actually, wait - it's staples - I'm not THAT surprised.

Haha , the majority of 'big' companys will do anything for money.

Anyway - you've got me interested. I've been looking around the internet , and nothings cropped up. And whatever has cropped up - has been a 'dud' link. I'm afraid you've gotten me interested.

I will find out who made the 'software' and email them. I'm going to go into Staples tommorow and see if they have it in my local branch.

    Damn. Love a mystery.

What intrigues me more is that the logo - if that is the 'logo' is very small. This is not usually done. Thats the only lead - along with the name - that could go anywhere.
