Yes you did get yelled at and I also requested that you run the READ ME FIRST sticky thread before your even post a requested for help and I also stated that HijackThis logs should only be posted when they are requested. In addition, I pointed out one of your problems C:\Program Files\Warez P2P Client\warez.exe

You did not listen to any of that information.

Okay since Controlmind apparently is not going to offer you any real help, please follow my steps below.

- Note the below should not be running when you use HijackThis
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe
C:\Program Files\AIM\aim.exe
C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe
C:\Program Files\Windows Media Player\wmplayer.exe

Have you now completed ALL the steps in the READ ME FIRST including the online scanners? If not, please complete ALL of the steps. If you have then follow the steps below:

- use Add/Remove programs to uninstall Warez P2P Client
- use Add/Remove programs to uninstall MyWebSearch Email Plugin
- use Add/Remove programs to uninstall Daily Weather Forecast
- you seem to have both AVG7 and Norton AntiVirus installed. You must only use one antivirus application. Uninstall one of them.
- you have a whole load of O18 type lines all ending with the C:\Program\BWPlugProtocol-8876480.dll you need to have HijackThis fix all those lines. I would also consider uninstallingLogitech Desktop Messenger because it seems to be causing this problem for thousands of people.

- Older versions of Limewire contained malware. If you do not have a new version, you should uninstall it. Also reconsider using this kind of software. It is more than likely at the root of where all your problems began.

- is this a BestBuy computer and do you really want them to be in control of what you start page always defaults to?

After doing all the above and answering my questions, follow the steps below to properly post a new HJT log.

- Download HijackThis 1.99.1

- Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

- Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the downloaded ZIP file.

- Before running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

- Run HijackThis and save your log file.

- Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next message. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post).

 

What programs exactly are you referring too?
