SpywareGuard & CWShreader Issues

    I installed the above software a couple of months ago on my Windows 98 system and they have yet to indicate an update is available. Does this seem normal?

    That's correct, there are no updates to the programs.

    Hi Dude, Are you saying there will never be an update? If so, I wonder why they both have a box to check for an update?

    Those get update as needed. SpywareGuard uses a Heuristics engine and doesn't require constant updates like a programs that uses definition or signature files. CWShedder only works against a few of the 170 variants of CWS, and as it is now owned by Trend Micro and as a free product doesn't get updated very often.
