SQL server 2005 Linked server question

    Hello all,
    I am just wonderinf if it is possible to call a custom function from a linked server.

    Here is my call:

    ServerName.DatabaseName.dbo.fnc_GetAverageUsage(param1, param2, param3)

    I get
    The object name 'ServerName.DatabaseName.dbo.' contains more than the maximum number of prefixes. The maximum is 2.

    On a side note I really hate Apple.
