SSD experiences? My Patriot one is just bad.

I bought a pair of Patriot Warp drives. In raid they were astounding for speed - for about a month. Now the reads are are the same as my Raptors and the writes are slower. I have read tons of articles on SSD drives and removed them to attempt a wipe. These drives "will never support the trim command" as per Patriot forums official post. Patriot will not be updating the firmware. Unfortunately they are not even taking the half-step to put out a wipe utility.
Trim would not require a reformat and reinstall. Wipe would require a start from scratch. Either should return the drives to original performance levels.

Anyone have long term experience with raided SSD's outside the enterprise environment?
I am looking to either make these work or write off the few hundred dollars and get new ones.
