Staceys Sad and School is about to Start

    Hi, I am not to sure how this works but I have a huge, or huge to me, problem with my computer. It is running slowly, and I often have to end program when I am using internet explorer or restart. My msn does not nudge and I often get messages from people who are not in my friends list and that I do not even know asking me to click on links which I am assuming are bad to click on so I block the person and yet more continue to come. I have scanned using several different things and have turned up nothing so I went to trend micro and got a logfile from hijackthis. This site was one of the places recommended to paste it (logfile) for help as I do not want to delete anything that is supposed to be there.

    I do not know if I just keep coming back to see if someone has answered me and helped or if I get an email. Please help

    Please uninstall HJT as it will be properly installed when you do the following:

    Please follow the instructions in the below link and attach the requested logs when you finish these instructions.


    If something does not run, write down the info to explain to us later but keep on going.

    Do not assume that because one step does not work that they all will not.

    Note:

    1. If you run into problems trying to run the READ & RUN ME or any of the scans in normal boot mode. You can running steps in safe boot mode but make sure you tell us what you did later when you post logs. See the below if you do not know how to boot in safe mode:

    2. If you have problems downloading on the problem PC, download the tools on another PC and burn to a CD. Then copy them to the problem PC. You will have to skip getting updates if (and only if) your internet connection does not work. Yes you could use a flash drive too but flash drives are writeable and infections can spread to them.
