Standby

Hi Geeks, My questions keep mounting.
I am running a Dell 8100 P4 Intel Board, Nvidia Geforce2
GTS Pro I have an hp photosmart 1000 printer installed and
Norton systemworks 2003. I cannot resume from standby.
When I hit the keyboard or mouse (which are set to resume)
the computer comes on but the monitor never resumes and
the light on the Floppy stays on and nothing else happens
until I shut down and start again. Any suggestions?

 

Don't use hibernate?

Seriously, hibernation for PCs has never been handled very well. It is very common for certain machines not to wake up correctly (or at all).

You can try messing around with the BIOS power management options, but IMX it doesn't help much.
