star??? question

my dad job shopped with NASA. he collected MISSION patches... since he passed away i got them.. they are beautiful... just wondering what i have.. any ideas?

Authentic Patches for Apollo, Gemini and especially Mercury projects are pretty rare as Chris said. Keep 'em safe.

I have a fair bit of the original Apollo collectables and booklets and other stuff. I was a little too young (3 y.o.), for Mercury. Seen the capsules back in the '60's and 70's, at J.P.L., though.

I slipped under the ropes and hopped in the Apollo 11 capsule when I was about 11 at the J.P.L. Museum. Got rousted out by a big Security Guard. "Hey kid! Get the Hell outta there! Whaddya think this is? Disneyland!" It was worth it, ROFL!

Mercury 3 will always have a special place in my memory. Was my 11th birthday, and my mom was in the hospital for cancer surgery, so it wasn't much of a "birthday" that year. Dad gave me my first small transistor radio (they weren't all that common back then), and he gave it to me in the morning so I could listen to the launch coverage.

Shepard helped keep my mind occupied during a tough time at home.
