Star Wars Battlefront 2 problems

Been having trouble with this game

it use to run perfectly fine and i have the right system requirements, Now when i go i to play it its very laggy in the game menu's and when i attempt to start a new game the whole game just freezes up, With me having to restart the computer

Please read and follow the steps in this sticky thread and post back with the requested information and any additional details that you can think of, such as what you have tried to do to correct the problem, did any event occur prior to the symptoms, do the symptoms occur when not using the game, etc.

 

Here's my system

AMD Sempron processor 2600+
1.6 GHZ, 2.00 GB of Ram
Windows XP Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 3 (build 2600)
Video Card- ATI Radeon Graphics Processor AGP
Sound Card- SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio

and i've tried to fix it by playing around with the video settings, It remains the same

the sympton's only occur when playing the game and it is a legit copy.

I don't see a graphics board listed - are you using onboard video? If so try reinstalling your drivers from ASUS. You might try giving your system a good cleaning if you haven't done so recently - CCleaner is a good freebie. General maintenance such as drive defragmentation and Windows Updates are also good first steps to try when there are game-related symptoms, especially on older machines.

 

I don't use Asus for a video card

i'm using Radeon X1650 series and i just download a update checker from ATI says everything is up to date.
