Star Wars Battlefront 2

    Hi
    I have just returned from the USA. I bought my son Star Wars Battlefront 2. The problem that I have is that the Playstation 2 that we have is for zone 2 and the game formast is zone 1. Is there anyway to change this?

    Personally not come across anything that will allow you to use a different region code zone game on your PS2, did a quick bit of reading in case their was some sort of change or set of key presses you could use ( a-la some DVD players ) but alas not found any sorry.

    maybe someone else picking up on this thread may know of a way of achieving this.

    You need code hacks, and these are illegal I'm afraid. It's the equivalent of playing a PAL-Format 1 DVD over here, and we use Format 2.

    Code hacks? no you just need something to bypass it, there are available many different types of chips that are soldered onto the playstation mobo but those are void warrenty, if installed wrong could fry your PS2.

    All you need is a Mod Chip.

    Sony recently took a Sydney supplier to court for selling and fitting them, alleging that it circumvented copyright and anti-piracy measures, and they LOST, so it's perfectly legal.

    Yep it is totally leagal is auss now, cant say for other countrys however. I belive it has even been stated in one of our Aust computer mags. Our I.T guy is over the moon.
