Star Wars: Jedi Academy....

Downloading the demo now... it's probably gonna suck but if it says Star Wars on it, I'm usually all over it

 

I liked it better that Jedi Knight 1.

Although the Quake 3 engine really is beginning to show signs of age.

 

I dunno... this game looks more of the same from Jedi Outcast, but the dual lightsaber fighting is better than JO's mods. Graphically speaking, I jacked all the settings as high as I could, 32 bit textures and such, and cranked the res as high as it would go ( 1280x1024 ) and still got around 70fps. There was some definite eye candy, but I'm dissapointed that the download was 186mb and just 2 single player levels, and no MP.

 

I didn't care for the MP in JO. Game doesn't lend itself to MP very well.

I'm anxious to try out a saber staff. I don't consider myself a Darth Maul fanboy, but it seems really nasty.

Hint: when on the second level, just push the other jedi off the ledge when they jump, say bye bye

 

You can turn to the dark side in it, but you don't actually JOIN them. More like you fight solo.

 

I liked it....it is a lot like Jedi Outcast and it would have been nice to see a MP version. Jedi Outcast was best for me as a single-player game, I always seemed to have trouble with the MP...maybe this one will be better in that respect.
