was playing a game (mmorpg) and out of no where my laptop froze. I had to shut it down manually but when I turned it back on this black screen showed up and at the bottom it said "Windows is loading files" and this "Start up repair" thing start going and it said something like "if you have recently attached a new device like a camera or portable music player, take it off and try starting again" but I don't have anything like that, only a mouse which I installed months ago.

It gives me these 2 options at the bottom once start up repair is done:

    View diagnostic and repair details
View advanced options for system recovery and support

I click the first one and its a bunch of stuff, I have no idea but if you want me to type it all out I will just tell me.

I click the second one and I have to pick a user. It gives me 3 users to pick from and all of them need a password besides "Owner". So I go in as Owner and it gives me these options:
    Startup Repair (just did it)
System Restore (i tried to restore to the earliest date and nothing changed)
    System Image Recovery (?)
    Windows Memory Diagnostic (?)
    Command Prompt

    and if you need this:

    Manufacturer: ASUSTeK Computer Inc.

    Processor: Genuine Intel(R) CPU U7300 @ 1.30GHz (2 CPUs), ~1.3GHz

    Memory: 4096MB RAM

    Hard Drive: 484 GB

    Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce G210M

    Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit (6.1, Build 7600) (7600.win7_gdr.100226-1909)

also I heard something about a System Recovery disk? i wasnt given one when i bought this laptop at best Buy but there is one for the computer im on now, too bad its for windows vista. and btw, i dont know much about computers, so keep it simple xD

    Greetings, viatical08.

The 'System Image Recovery' listed may indicate a recovery partition - try pressing F9 upon boot, see if you are presented with a recovery menu.

Be advised: many recovery protocols involve formatting the hard drive. If there is vital data that must be saved, you might consider burning and booting to a live Linux environment to recover your data before performing any recovery options.

The possibility exists, of course, that since you were online when the crash occurred, malware could be the cause.
