Start up messages removal

    How do you remove these annoying opening screens with the vendors logo on the screen? I have even tried formatting a drive to get rid of this logo but it's still there - where am I going wrong? I don't want an advert to be the first thing I see when I boot up!

    which are you talking about.. the desktop background or the screen that appears before you see windows load.

    I suspect it is the manufacturer's logo that comes up when you first turn on your PC. My laptop has a fullscreen Gateway logo, first up. :p You know, the black and white faux cow skin design. Yuk.Bazza.
