Start up/Shutdown Wav

    I've searched for this info, if I missed it, I apologize for the duplication. Where do we turn OFF the startup and shutdown wav in Windows XP to increase the speed of the startup/shutdown process?

    Thank you Mark. Actually, it did help a bit. It went from 2 minutes 40 seconds to 1 minute 5 seconds to shutdown. That's better than a poke it the eye with a sharp stick! The startup is always much faster. Many thanks again!
