    Hello

I have a laptop with windows 7. started to get the blue screen of death, is what some people call it. every time i start the computer i try to go into safe mode, but the screen flashes couple time. then it takes me to the log in screen, where it says the user name then you would enter the password, but i get nothing i cant enter the password. so im kind of lost, if anyone has any options, really dont wanna loose some file for example my itunes songs, i have a lot.

Instead of going into Safe Mode, can you try to boot into Last Known Good Configuration?

Do you have any details about the BSOD; stop code and/or module name?

If you have data you cannot afford to lose pull the drive and install Win7 on a new one. You can then plug the old drive in as a data drive without fear of losing anything.
You can also plug the drive into another computer to get the files.
Post if you need help with this or decide it is not necessary.

Now that the files are safe. We can work on the BSOD.
    How old is the computer?
    Have you recently updated anything?
What are the specs? (make, model, type of HDD and video)
