Can anyone tell me what this startup entry is? A few weeks ago my computer randomly shut down (this just about never happens), and I'm wondering if this appeared in my startup after that happened. I've disabled it via msconfig before but I is checked off again. I know it's not spyware related but I'd like to know what it is and why it keeps reappearing.

Kernal Fault Check (according to RegCleaner's startup list)

dumprep.exe is the fault logging program. The reason it keeps coming back may indicate some problem.Have you checked the event viewer for any errors? Also use regcleaner or something else that allow to control the startup, it will save some time at boot.msconfig should be used for troublesooting only.Maybe Adrynalyne has a better answer? ;)
