Startup Manager

Hi gang,

Can anyone recommend a good startup manager and how to use it? I've heard not to use MSConfig. Thanks!

Hi my friend , msconfig is better than adding more programmes in your machine i think !!

falconattack, msconfig is okay on a short term basis for enabling and disabling to troubleshoot but it is not a good permanent solution.
It also does not alert you when new things want to run at startup. The two programs I linked to, will alert you each time you install a program or update when something wants to run at startup. You then have the chance to allow or deny it during the installation.

Another version of the program plodr listed:

This version simply runs without any installer.
You can put an icon link directly on your desktop so you can run it without opening Control Panel.
StartupCPL adds an icon in your Control Panel.
