Startup Repair Infinate Loop can't Enter Safe Mode

    I ran the D7 and it seems to have done the trick.
    I saved a couple of files to the Windows folder on the 'c' drive with no warnings or windows telling me I needed to be an admin.
    I will try installing a couple of programs I was holding off on and see if I run into any other issues (most likely in the next couple of days...running short on time tonight).

    oh yeah, I did set the UAC back to default before moving the files.

    I was going to mention D7 but I thought the Windows Repair would be easier. Glad D7 worked for you. Keep fingers crossed.

    Edit: I really got crossed up. I was editing and was going to say download Windows repair but forgot to delete D7. :-o Time to head for bed.

    I followed the steps you showed sloth with the detail disk and I got this
    Volume ### Ltd. Label. Fs. Type. Size. Status
    Volume 1 D. Recovery NTFS partition 14 GB healthy
    Volume 2. C. OS. NTFS. Partition. 450 GB healthy
    Volume 7. FAT. Partition. 39 mb. Healthy. Hidden
