Startups (CCleaner) in Win 7

All startups are automatic except for the 2 at the bottom. (see pic)

Which ones could be safely deleted from startup? Epson software was never installed, just the drivers. In XP I had only 3 or 4. So it's time to get rid of those that don't matter. Sidebar is for gadgets? I've got just one. 2 of them are from Dell to backup and did hide it but that's not enough. I need your expertise. TIA

 

Other than Avast (for sure) and the Windows sidebar (always found it kind of pointless, but it's your computer), I don't see anything essential there that needs to be running at startup. I'd wait for other opinions from other users, but that's my .02.

 

I would just like to add that CCleaner's Startup tool is NOT good to use. Instead, use Startup.cpl:

CCleaner's startup manager only modifies the msconfig, which should ONLY be used for troubleshooting purposes. The best way to disable startup items is to see if they can be disabled via their programs... when they don't have an option, Startup.cpl is best.

 

Not to worry mcsmc. I always check CCleaner for all startups and then use Startup CPL to disable or delete since it's easier to read from CCleaner. CPL is one of the bunch of software I installed.

 

BTW: Dell's backup and recovery manager must be hidden, because it's not showing in Startup CPL or in *Services*. My printer acted funny when I disabled it in CPL. Now the date in the printer is wiped out and cannot adjust it. But that's another problem that I will have to solve. Back to the startups.
