    Practically every time I run Spybot it finds Statcount in my system. I believe it is just cookies but is there a way to block this annoyance?

    Then it is some site(s) that you are visiting that do it. You can set your browser to clear the cookies when you close it.

    Statcounter.com is a web service that keeps count of hits to a particular website, i use them myself on my site, cant imagine it being harmful, if its the same thing. ed
