Sticky Mouse...

System is WinXP, P4.

Quite suddenly the mouse will freeze in on spot on the screen. Thing is, you can still move it, but you can't see it -- the cursor's image is stuck somewhere on the screen, but I can (with some patience) click to restart the computer. I'm really not sure what's on the computer (it's my mom's, and she has an anti-cleanup complex), and though I've had it happen on my comp it hasn't happened in a while.
