I have followed all the guidelines from above and im still getting viruses/trojans/adware when i run anti-virus. I also still get pop-ups but not as frequently telling me i havent gotten rid of the problem. I desperately want to get rid of look2me or whatever it may be that is causing all the pop-ups and other things. Can someone please help me identify and remove these problems?

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Download HijackThis 1.99.1

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Unzip the hijackthis.exe file to a folder you create named C:\Program Files\HJT

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Do NOT run Hijack This from the Desktop, a temp folder, or a sub-folder of C:\Documents and Settings, or choose to run it directly from the ZIP file as your backups will not be safely stored.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifBefore running HijackThis: You must close each of the following:your web browser, e-mail client, instant messenger, and programs like notepad, wordpad, MS Word etc. And any other unnecessary running programs.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gifRun HijackThis and save your log file.

http://www.majorgeeks.com/images/grenade.gif Post your log as an ATTACHMENT to your next post. (Do NOT copy/paste the log into your post as it will be removed).

Download Spy Sweeper 4.0.3.363 and install it.

After you install make sure you get the updated spyware definitions. Then do a full sweep removing all infections. After you remove the infections with SpySweeper, reboot and attach a fresh HJT log.

Sorry i took so long but after i ran spysweeper and rebooted my computer became very sluggish. I ran HJT the first time and it froze and my whole desktop disappeared so i had to re-boot again and HJT froze again, but finally worked. Than as i went online i turned on MSN and that froze too. Anyways spysweeper found 4 things, one being a trojan horse and the other looking like your typical spyware, i think.

Did you download the updates before doing the scan?

Are you familiar with Wirehog or imeem ?

Yes, i am actually. Well i dont know the inner workings of them but i have been using wirehog for months with no problems. As far as imeem goes, that is a newer program and that has been on my pc for at least a month or two. The only thing i noticed abotu imeem is that when my pc starts up, the imeem user interface pops up on my desktop. Other than that, i have not had these problems until my pc illiterate roommate use my computer yesterday. I had used my pc yesterday morning and things were peachy but came home and she said she was sick of the pop-ups. So i looked and i knew i was infected when they kept popping up every few minutes. Oh btw, wirehog and imeem are just programs to chat with others and download from them if you like. I only download from people i know and it has only been .mp3s.

Okay, those were the only things I was concerned about from your HJT log. I do not see any problems in your log.

What problems are you currently experiencing?

well, since you had me run spysweeper things seems to be great actually!. I havent received any full page pop-ups or re-directs to other sites and so far it seems very stable on the pc end! I hope i can come back and ask any questions just in case my pc acts wierd again. Anyways, if there is anything i can do to show my appreciation let me know.
