I went through and ran all the programs and went through all the steps in the malware removal guide.

CA Antivirus infection notice window keeps popping up screaming at me about system32 vundo! crap, but whenever it does a scan, it never finds a virus.
I tried to run VundoFix and it doesn't find anything.
    AdAware doesn't find anything.
SpyBot doesn't find anything related, but HitBox keeps coming up.
I also run RegScrubXP and Disckeeper Lite at least twice a week.

so here are my log attachments, if anyone can help me I'd appreciate it.

You need to attach the other requested logs from the READ ME before we can get started.
    • CounterSpy - only for Windows XP, 2K, & NT users
    • AVG Antispyware log - ONLY IF NEEDED you were not able to run CounterSpy. - only for Windows XP, 2K, & NT users
    • Bitdefender - from step 6
    • Panda Scan - from step 6
Also you need to uninstall the below:
Java 2 Runtime Environment, SE v1.4.2 <--- requested in step 6 of the READ ME
Morpheus 5.1 (remove only) <--- requested in step 0 of the READ ME
Viewpoint Media Player <--- requested in step 0 of the READ ME
Web Savings from Ebates <--- requested in step 0 of the READ ME

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

You also need to follow the directions in step 0 of the READ ME and in step 7 and put your system into Normal Startup mode. You are using MSconfig to control startups. After doing this reboot.

After reboot, now install the current version of Sun Java as requested in step 6 of the READ ME from: Sun Java Runtime Environment

And then you will have to attach new logs from GetRunKey, ShowNew, and HJT.

So I can't run Pandascan or bitdefender because I refuse to run internet explorer. sorry, but I fell in love with firefox and can't leave it. The error message stopped popping up but the virus message from CA kept appearing. So I uninstalled CA anti-virus and brought back AVG free and it took care of that problem as far as I can tell (thank you 'heal' option!)

So thanks for the help, and to the best of my knowledge, my PC be healed!

Your PC is not clean and you need to run the other tools and use Internet Explorer to run the online scans. Internet Explorer is a tool that you will still need to use on some websites especially Microsoft. Without it you will not be able to get all of your updates from Microsoft.

To properly clean your PC I need you to complete all of what was in message # 2.

You also never ran CCleaner to cleanup all the garbage as requested.
