Still Having Issues

I had a post in the wrong forum related to malware. It is the forum anyone can post in. I had problems with HJT. I was told to first run the entire Malware procedure and save the logs. I did that. I have also included screen prints of the errors which lead to this note. The screen prints are clear but will need to be enlarged. Using MSpaint will help with that. So here is my step by step issue. If I you have any trouble reading anything please contact me so I can correct the issue. I fully understand HJT is a tech tool. I am recently retired at a systems/analysts-main frame programmer after 42 years. 38 with Chrysler. I am using these tool as reference to similarities with mainframes and PC's. to assist colleagues in the mainframe world. So I understand that HJT is powerful, and I had no other intent but research. Now on to my issue

ran HJT and got an error message that is located in the screen print attachment See attachment HJT error message.png

the error references a log. see attachment HOST log.txt

I then hit ok and received a program error message. see attachment HJT program error

hit ok again.

HJT finished and generated a log.

ran MajorGeek malware removal procedure. All log that you request are in the attachment "uploaded Major geek logs".

rebooted.

same errors occurred.

I have put all the logs from the malware remove procedure into the ZIP file "major geek logs.zip.
I know I have supplied a lot of information. I hope you understand I would rather give you more information the leave something out that may help with my issue.

I am not finding any malware in your logs. Is the only issue you have with HJT? What malware issues are you having?

Only HJT. Should I post to another forum, or send the issue to the email listed in the attachment "hjt program error.png".

Many systems have issues with running HJT. I wouldn't worry about it.

If you are not having any malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:

We recommend you keep Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware.

Renable your Disk Emulation software with Defogger if you had disabled it in step 4 of the READ & RUN ME.

Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis. If you don't see it or it will not uninstall, don't worry about it. Just move on to the next step.

If running Vista, Win 7 or Win 8 or 10, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.

Now goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click ( if running Vista, Win7, or Win 8 Right Click and Run As Administrator ) on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.

Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.

I posted this in your other thread too.

Just an FYI: You must use right click and select Run As Administrator in order to run HijackThis at elevated permissions so that you can access the hosts file and also for fixes to work. When you ran MGtools.exe for the Malware Forum logs you posted, you had not run MGtools.exe as the administrator either and it could not create all the logs it needed including a HijackThis log.
