    Welcome to Major Geeks!

You need to follow all of the instructions in the order written.

You have not run Malwarebytes, ComboFix, or RootRepeal where requested. You need to run these and attach the requested logs.

Please attach a log that shows what infections are being found and exactly where. Names of infections without an indication of exactly where are not really helpful especially since scanners all have a habit of inventing their own names for infections.

It is possible that they are false detections or that they are only in System Restore or in quarantines.

now im at a loss.i recently got nortons 2010 and got rid of the program i was running.i was unaware i would still need it.i read everything and i didnt realize i would still need it.i ran the progams that were required.a miss understanding.i did however run the reg booster and found some things.as far as the files and where they are oh boy i did right down most of them all were win.32.a few examples are trojan-dropper.win32.agent.abgg,backdoor.win32.clampi.a and trojan-dropper.win32.kido.a.if there is a more useful scanner to run please let me know and i will run it.i attached the log from the reg booster.thank you for all the help you are lending me.

A log from Registry Booster or any other registry scanner is of no use to me. It is not a malware scanner and in most cases, nothing pointed out by regsistry scanners need to be fixed and they would not be something we would fix in the malware forum. In fact, we would tell you to uninstall Registry Booster before you cause yourself major problems.

Unless you can show me a log pointing out explicitly where you are being informed of an infection, there is nothing for us to do. All of your logs are clean and you are not showing any signs of a Kido type infection which is also better known as Conficker. You would know if you had a Conficker infection as your PC performance would be terrible and we would see it in your logs. Also Norton would see it.

well thank you for all the help.i wish i still had the program, maybe it was a false reading.if nothing was seen in all the logs i posted and as you said you have seen nothing then it must have been a false reading.it just that my comp. is still running very slow booting up,viewing web pages, signing on,and pretty much everything is running like i have dail up internet service, which i dont.so i didnt think i was getting a false reading.so thank you for all your help.

The reason your PC is slow is due to the lack of adequate memory to properly run Windows XP SP3 and your other applications. Your logs show the below:
    Code:
    Total Physical Memory 256.00 MB
    Available Physical Memory 106.02 MB
The MINIMUM we recommend for Windows XP is 4 times greater than this (i..e., minimum is 1 GB which is 4x256M) and we really suggest 2 GB which is 8x256M.

Since you are not having malware problems, it is time to do our final steps:
    1. We recommend you keep SUPERAntiSpyware and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware for scanning/removal of malware. Unless you purchase them, they provide no protection. They do not use any significant amount of resources ( except a little disk space ) until you run a scan.
    2. If we had you use ComboFix, uninstall ComboFix (This uninstall will only work as written if you installed ComboFix on your Desktop like we requested and you did not do this!!!!)
      • Click START then RUN and enter the below into the run box and then click OK. Note the quotes are required
      • "%userprofile%\Desktop\combofix" /uninstall
        • Notes: The space between the combofix" and the /uninstall, it must be there.
        • This will uninstall ComboFix and also reset hidden files and folders settings back to Windows defaults.
    3. Any other miscellaneous tools we may have had you install or download can be uninstalled and deleted.
    4. If we had you download any registry patches like fixme.reg or fixWLK.reg (or any others), you can delete these files now.
    5. If running Vista, it is time to make sure you have reenabled UAC by double clicking on the C:\MGtools\enableUAC.reg file and allowing it to be added to the registry.
    6. Go to add/remove programs and uninstall HijackThis.
    7. Goto the C:\MGtools folder and find the MGclean.bat file. Double click on this file to run this cleanup program that will remove files and folders related to MGtools and some other items from our cleaning procedures.
    8. After doing the above, you should work thru the below link:

    You're welcome.

It is not a matter of how many programs you have in add/remove programs. It is simply a matter of running Windows XP alone let alone anything else like your protection software from Microsoft. You simply cannot properly run your PC with so little memory. This is just a plain and simple fact.

Nothing is going to help you except putting 1 to 2 GB of memory into your PC. According to your PC spec ( see: http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/dim8200/specs.htm#1101572 ) you can put in up to 2 GB of memory. I suggest that you stop looking for other solutions and purchase the memory or buy a new PC already having about 3 GB of memory.

The other choice would be to uninstall Windows XP and revert back to Windows 2000 or Windows 98 which do not need as much memory. However this is really not a recommended solution since those versions of Windows are too outdated to be used.
