Still need help with double-click prob

Thought I would post another thread since it the prob is still ocurring on my puter.When I double click on a hd or cd-drive, instead of opening it , the search option is brought up instead.I normally go through my computer and then into the respective drive, always have.Everything is udated on my system(xp sp2).It must be a setting somewhere but I have no idea, and yes in the folder options, the open with a double click box is checked.So any help to rectify my prob would be greatly appreciated. This is the only thing I can find that even resembles that double-click problem but it might give you a starting point. I think it must be a registry setting also.

Also, this article / fix is for Windows 2000 not XP. I just wanted to show you something similar to check:

Unfortunately the default value is already on none. Arrggg this is anoying.

 

Damn you have many threads about this problem, why not just bump the original one by posting a reply to your own request ?
