Still needing MSN Messenger 7.0

    I have had messenger for several years. Last year when I downloaded for upgrade to 7.0 It has not worked since. After I installed it the icon in right hand bottom would have an X thru it. When I would try to get in a window would appear with a program error MSN MSGR.EXE has generated errors and will be closed by windows you will need to restart the program. An error log is being created. I have no idea how to restart program anyway. I have went to add/remove programs and removed it everytime I did another download. Same thing. So someone told me to go to search desktop and I deleted everything messenger tonight then re-started computer and downloaded 7.0 again. The same thing. X in icon and everytime I clicked to get in another program error. Please HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!ME somebody. Also in MSN hotmail when I go to delete junk mail a error on page is in bottom left and will not empty trash. It does not do it everytime and never does it when I delete e-mails. Anyone with an idea how to correct that also.

    Still needing helppppppppppppp

    Anybody out there, I am still asking for help with the request I made a few days ago with the problem I'm having with messenger 7.0. I've had no one give me any kind of a suggestion on how to solve it. It will still not work, just pop up the program error everytime I try to sign in to messenger. Come on folks,:confused: I'm sure someone out there has had this same problem, and could help me resolve it. :rolleyes: COME ON NOW :rolleyes:

    We all get dragged away at times with our real lifes ....so go back to your original post and just repost with "bump" to get it back to the first page so we are reminded that the issue is still open ...and add anything else that may be pertinent.:)

    I would uninstall MSN Messenger and goto your Program Files folder and delete the MSN Messenger folder then run CCleaner to remove any and all temp file and temp internet files ( if you save user/password logons in cookies these will need re-entering ) then download the latest version of Messenger in MSN Live Messenger 8 http://get.live.com/messenger/overview

    and see how you go.


    Do post any error messages you gain when running MSN as they help.

    TIMW--I would do as you suggest but I'm new and do not know how to go back and repost with a "BUMP" to get back to first page.

    A "Bump" is a gentle reminder to re-look at a thread, especially if its dropped off the first few pages ( not to be overused tho ) easiest way to find your thread is to click your user nickname in the Currently Active list and then choose "find all threads started by xxxxxxx" and you will be given a list of the threads you started, pick the one you need and post a new reply, with either the word "bump" or better still post any new info on things you may have tried yourself.

    Did you try the info I posted earlier and did it help at all?
