Can anyone direct me to where I can find the meaning of the stop error code:

    stop 0x0000007E (0x0000005, 0xEDA31C19, 0xEDBBAB70, 0xEDBBA86C)

    rt2500usb.sys address EDA31c19 base at EDA23000, datestamp 425cd8e1

This has happened on both of my IBM Thinkcenters running Win. XP Pro SP2, one 3 days ago and the other today causing the PCs to continuously reboot in a loop after error. I have disabled the auto-restart in order to read the blue screen and get the above error code info.

This rebooting loop stops when i disconnect my Linksys Wireless G adapter so that tells me it is that. I have connected different Adapters and cords and connecter into different USB ports with the same result. Tells me it is not the hardware. What is up with this?

Thank you for any help with this.

Sounds like you answered your own question. If it isn't the hardware it is the software, either way you should consider removing and reinstalling/updating drivers, and or trying another adapter, unless you want to try your adapters on yet another operating system. Recently pulled on board wireless card from a Gateway laptop to get Vista up and running again. The card did work with a Linux live CD, though Linux did show a fault with it, and the owner had been using a USB adapter due to previous problems with the card. Get with Linksys support and ask what gives, possibly a replacement, good customer relations and all that. Your system has issues with SP3?

After chatting with Linksys and telling them all I did which included uninstalling and reinstalling the software, they came back with "the adapter is no longer under warranty and chat support was no longer available." NICE! In other words, they were stumped.
I know it is the adapters, I just can't understand why after using these adapters on all of my machines...all the sudden in a matter of 3 days apart, I get the same error on 2 different computers and nothing on those PCs has changed a bit to cause this. Can't be just a coincidence.
The Linksys site only has a driver download dated 2005. What a joke!
I just was interested in finding out the meaning of the error stop codes to determine if it is indeed a driver problem or ....????
