Stop error when installing driver.

    Hi,
    I reecently installed a fresh copy of windows xp pro. everything went good but when i try to install the sounddriver i get a stop error 0x000007E. i have tried with HD and normal drivers but none of them works.

    Hi

    Were are you getting the sound driver from and what make and version is it?
    What do you mean by "normal drivers"?
    Did your PC originally come with XP Pro and did you recover from the recovery CD/HDD partition or are you using a burned/original new copy of XP Pro?

    Did you install the Nvidia Chipset driver from HERE first?

    If the Chipset driver installs OK, reboot and then enter Device Manager and tell us what items have yellow ! marks by them?

    I figured it out i everest home and drivergenius where wrong, i don't have realtek but Via_hyperion. Normal driver= low detail sound driver. i don't have Nvidia i have intel chipset. My whole pc is from intel. The pc came with windows xp home but a friend had xp pro burned on a cd. It's pirated edition.. But thanks anyway.
