Stop files to be copied by workers

I am a D.J. and have 100,000 songs in my library. My problem is that I have a guy that DJ's for me in the summer when its wedding season. He will pick up the equipment and a laptop the night before. I am worried that he might copy them and no longer need me and go on his own.
So........
Is there a way I can make those MP3's usable by the computer BUT.... not able to be copied Besides Disabling the USB ports?

I also have a guy that sometimes uses his tower and I just give him an external HDD.

I have been needing this since I started DJing with MP3's in 1993 and never really went after it.

So then I'll have to disable USB ports use old school mouse and keyboard connections and Not use Externals. I can put a little lock on my tower. I guess thats the best I can do.

That's about the best you can do is disable the ports and password protect the bios. You might also uninstall any burning software if you have a CDR or DVDR installed. It would take a long time to transfer that much by burner but it is possible. You might also want to disable the Network Controller while the machine is out of your control. It would be fairly easy to move the files to a network server or NAS.

 

Just find somebody else to help you. Why employ somebody you don't trust?
