Stormy Morning

The storm has hit in all its flurry. I am at my daughters house waiting for the kids to get home from school, as they have closed all the schools here in upstate NY. What was going to be a relatively quiet day with just myself and the baby will now be kinda hectic with all 4 of them. You know I enjoy it!!

More snow dumped on Oregon overnight. Chaos rules!!! Stole my husband's truck this morning to get to work....Sweet

 

Luckily for us that storm is mainly to the south, we have enough for now though it's cold ATM, -1F.

 

Nothing compares to the power of mother nature. Have experienced, first hand, tornadoes, hurricanes, blizzards, wild fires, floods. Have not experienced an earthquake, yet. When we went to Playalinda Beach, away from the commercial, developed, industrialize world, I liked to lay in the surf and let nature do her thing. Helps me make peace with the world, such as it is... Kind of the same as taking the bike for a three day cruise, leave the world behind, but get back in touch with that part of her that eases my mind, and reminds me of what is really important. Sorry to ramble, but some posts make you think. Thank you.:wave

 

Environment Canada told us we would have less snow this winter. DUH! Since the agency told us that recently, we've had so far more snow than last year in December. Can't you see I love winter? I used to enjoy it but as the years go by I'm starting to hate it. :cry

Currently we're having a snow storm, windy and it's cold. Yuk.

 

*looks outside, shudders and returns to huddle in front of computer*

It's freezing and blizzarding outside. I think I need to move somewhere warm, like Hell, or the face of the sun.
