Strange Case opening method....

Hey,
Im having a slight problem, im working on a PC, but the case isn't like any i have worked on before, it has a hinge along the top of the tower, and from a quick look around, i cannot see any screws, so im not too sure how to open the case..... any help would be appreciated.

If it's a fairly old beige Dell Optiplex case, check on the bottom, I think there is a button you press, then the side will lift up.

 

If I'm not mistaken, that hinge has nothing to do with the case cover itself. Is it one of the low-ish profile cases? Almost like a tower on its side? If so, I believe the button is on the side. It should be a matter of holding the button while you lift up the front of the case. Those optiplex cases suck. It's some odd form factor like NLX or BLT mybe NBA... I don't remember. If you really can't get it, just remember, it's a dell. A sledge hammer to all sides of the case may be your best resolution to your headaches. Or you could hit up Dell's site to check for instructions... I dunno.

im going to sort it tonight, and if i remember rightly, i remember a latch at the bottom back of the case.

 

oops sorry, i started replying and then got sidetracked, and you evidently posted before i did......

its a tower case.

 

Try removing the front lid first, see if there is an opening (like some sort of handle) on the bottem-front, or stick a screw-driver under there, when you removed the front lid i bet you'll see some screws to remove the side covers
