I cannot see the majorgeeks pages since 11/10/2006? Even if I link from another website (like Daily Rotation) to a new update it brings me to one posted before 11/10/2006 not the newest one. The home page displays the page from 11/10/2006. I have emptied my cache and internet files, I even set the options to check for new pages every time I visit a page, Still getting page from 11/10/2006. This happens in XP whether I use IE or Firefox. Same thing happens in Vista whether I use IE or Firefox. Same thing happens in PClinuxOS. (yes I am triple booting 3 OS's) I am out of ideas of what can be causing this problem. Any idea? Wyldbill confused

Hmmm...three different OS with multiple browsers all showing Majorgeeks as 11/10/2006...weird. Only thing I can think of off-hand is your ISP keeps a cache to enhance surfing speed, and it's screwed up. Maybe give them a call.

Quick thing to test is if your DNSCache is fooey is to flush/delete the contents as negative corrupted entries could mess this up.

Use something like CCleaner to clean all temp files and folders of junk, then.....

Open a Command Prompt window ( Start > Run and type CMD > ok or Start > Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt )

and then type or cut and paste the bold text ipconfig /flushdns ( note the space between g and / )

    and try connecting to http://www.majorgeeks.com

I flushed the dns, I actually have run crap cleaner, I have deleted temp files, I deleted cookies. I think Wavetar is on to something. It's all 3 OS's so it may be a cache at my ISP, that makes sense since its all 3. It can't be a problem with all 3 operating systems. I will let you know. WyldBill

I fixed it! Wavetar you made me think of something. My ISP provides a free accelerator (yes sadly I only have dial-up available) They had an update to it in Nov. and I had problems with it after I installed it. (only on XP) so I uninstalled it. Don't ask me how or why but it locked the website to that page. It had to be at the account level since it was all 3 OS's. I went to the website and saw that they made another update in Dec., I downloaded and installed it back in XP and walla it now is displaying the newest page. Thanks to everyone for your ideas. WyldBill

This was interesting. The problem didn't occur to me here at work, but it did at home - I used the link "majorgeeks.com". However, when I manually entered "www" at the front of the link, the main page was updated to the latest info. When I went back to "majorgeeks.com" it got updated as well. Go figure ...
