Strange problem in Win. Vista

    My internet connection keeps dying on me randomly - This happens when watching web-based videos in windows media player; from the group of twenty, or thirty only few will play, then it gets stuck and nothing will play which looks like connection is somehow lost, but it is not I am on cable modem.
    Thank you for help.


    PS: what would be a good firewall to use? I used to have Sygate and liked it.
