Strange side-action

Hi!

My mother's computer, since a couple of weeks now, has been having some strange side-actions.
Every time when she opens a map, example: My Documents, the search option is activated inside that map. And every time when she closes that option and opens another map inside my documents, the same pesky search option opens up.

I hope there is something I can do (or she can do) about this pesky problem.
If there is, then I would be very thankful if u would share your solution with me.

Hi Michael,

Click on the link below. On the page that opens look on the left-hand side for Win XP Fixes. Click on it, then over to the right look for Search/Command Prompt Opens When Double Clicking a Folder and click on it. Now click on folder_open.vbs at the top of the page and run it. Just save it to your desktop and then double click the file. A confirmation dialog will appear when it's finished running. That should fix it.
