Stubborn trojan generic13 virus

    I'm trying to clean up a friends computer and this virus "Trojan horse Generic13.xxxx" keeps coming back. The file extension seems to change every time it as well. I've followed the cleaning directions listed here but it's still haunting me.

    Any help is greatly appreciated. My friend is going on vacation Wednesday and would like to bring his laptop with him.

    Your logs are clean......so if you are having something alert you, you need to tell me exactly what it is (full path) and what is reporting it.

    You may also wish to tell your friend to install more RAM:
    Total Physical Memory 512.00 MB
    Available Physical Memory 125.92 MB

    Thanks for checking the logs for me TimW. Unfortunately I gave the laptop back to my friend for the next week while he goes away on vacation. Hopefully he won't use it much and the virus won't have a chance to get worse until I get it back.

    I can't recall the path but it was AVG free that was catching it. I will update once I get the laptop back in my possession.
